The Avail-TVN Operations Paid Internship Program requires a commitment of 30-35 hours per week with flexible hours between Monday-Friday; 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The program coincides with the semester and lasts 10-14 weeks. We have multiple positions available in the fall, winter, spring and summer. Compensation includes course credit, fixed-amount twice monthly pay, and a performance bonus at the conclusion of the program.

Interns learn about affiliate operations, content operations, network operations, quality assurance, digital content management, programming, scheduling, metadata, encoding, and satellite transmission in a fast-paced and unique organization. Interns will assist with all day-to-day tasks related to the assigned department while being exposed to all operational functions required to run the largest digital media services company in North America.

• Support assigned department with day-to-day deliverables, including but not limited to assisting with metadata, asset ingestion, encoding, scheduling, content placement, transmissions, delivery, updates, advisories, and general office tasks
• Work within the assigned department to process operational requests and support day-to-day tasks
• Collection, organize, and analyze various forms of data to help fulfill reporting requirements and improve operations processes
• Answer calls, emails, and interact with Affiliates, Content Providers, and intra-Company customers as needed
• Assist with planning and execution of special projects within the assigned department and across multiple departments
• Create time lines and support timely roll-outs of new customers, processes, and projects
• Participate in internal and external business meetings and conference calls
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by department head
  
  

|  Affiliate Operations  |

• Affiliate Operations works with Avail-TVN’s Affiliate customers as well as intra-Operations and other departments to ensure accurate and timely content provisioning and content-related VOD requests
  
  

|  Quality Assurance  |

• Support Affiliates’ and Content Providers’ needs and requirements as well as Avail-TVN’s contractual obligations and strategic initiatives relating to all facets of content ingestion, delivery, and the overall end-user experience.
  
  

Successful candidates must be self-starters, have excellent communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and be eager to take on multiple projects. A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, with daily usage of Microsoft Office Excel. Junior and Senior level candidates with previous work experience are preferred but exceptions will be made if other candidates are otherwise adequately qualified.
